I like working with DEX. It's one of my favorites but yet I don't use it enough. Our challenge was to use DEX as a mono-tangle. What a lot of squares for this challenge. I filled the tile with squares then went from there.
Black and white would have been to boring for me so I added some watercolor. Interesting effect. Thanks to Mariet for giving me the idea of writing the name in the piece. I felt it was completely unfinished with a hole just suspended there.

This is very pretty. I can see that color is much more exciting.
Absolutely LOVELY, love the green shading!
Great 3 D effect.
Adore that cone effect and great calligraphy!
Great color choice. I admire how you did a background with DEX and a shape above it with DEX, and yet make them look so layered. It means you did a great job with the shadings. And I agree, the DEX text gives your work the finishing touch.
Thank you Didisch.
Great, really great.
Your cone superimposed on top of a rectangle is quite innovative. Like your green tint too. It adds a lot of interest.
Very neat! I love the layered effect, love the colour, and your shading is super! I like the added text too!
Like the variations and the way that you used Dex.
very cool! Love how you finished it with the watercoloring!
I hadn't heard the term monotangle, but you've done it well! I like the addition of the color, it makes the cone pop.
