Zendala #67

Erin's template this week was weird. I had no idea what to do with it. I stared at it for a long time and asked it to speak to me. It didn't. I liked the template, It was different; quite a departure from the circular ones. But I guess it took me from a comfort zone and made me think a little harder.

I would have liked to do something extra special for the middle flower but nothing else seemed appropriate than just those lines. I am curious to see what others did. In the end I like what emerged. It looks like layers of paper tiles waiting to be peeled off one at a time.

Thanks for your visit.

This is already very special. You made a brilliant choice of pattern for the edging, the centre filling is beautiful and I think the centre with an abstract daisy is perfect as it is.

I think it's very nicely done. I like the simple lines used in the center against the the darker patterned background. It was a good choice of tangles and they work nicely together.

This looks retro--like a 50s clock. Cool patterns and great shading on the background for dimension.

It´s a very lovely zendala! It has a quite clear and straight-line compositon. Great choice of tangles!

I like how this ended up. It's very striking. I can connect with you on your feelings while doing it. This one is quite different, and I too, found it problematic to find the right tangles. You did great!
