Diva Challenge #129 - String Theory v. XXV

Doing the happy dance 'cause I finally received my package of art supplies. Not to many things, just  microns, my very first book of Zentangles, and another package of twinkling H2O's. I have written a short review about the "twinks" and a colorful cosmic explosion that happened when I was testing them out. So click HERE to learn more.

As for my new Zentangle book, I chose "Totally Tangled" by Sandy Steen Bartholomew. With so many books about Zentangle on the market, it was difficult to choose one. I just closed my eyes and picked.

I am glad I got this one too. There are so many tangles that I was introduced to that I could not resist using a few of my new favorites in this weeks challenge. I like Sandy's book; very straight forward, easy to understand step-outs, and lots of pretty tiles and compositions.

For our challenge this week we were to use string #004 from TanglePatterns.com

Tangles used are anti-dots, bollywood, flora and flutter tile
And last but certainly not the least, I would like to thank everyone who have been so kind to leave encouraging comments from time to time. I am truely grateful. I've been practicing with Zentangles since last year November when I broke my foot, and could not move around at all. These challenges every week and practicing and learning the steps helped the time go by faster. Eight months later,  and mobile again, I'm still at it. What a lovely habit to get into isn't it?

Your tile turned out very beautiful. The new book seems to inspire you a lot!? The patterns are nicely combined - at least two of them I've never seen before. And the shading is amazing!

Love your tile this week and I think at least that you picked a good book, in Totally Tangled. Love the bits of color that you used in the tile too.

Yes isn't tangling fun I started my adventure in Jan./Feb. I think and when I first started I didn't have a blog or a computer and my friend put my work on her blog for me in the beginning.
Your tile is lovely very pretty

So beautiful tile! Especially I love the fine contrast between black and white. The spots of color add a nice touch!
I agree to you! I discovered Zentangle this year in May. Since that time I feel better.

Your tile looks great. Totaly tangled was my first zentagle book too, and I learned a lot out of it. I like the flowers you out in the loops with a little touch of color. Keep on tangling greetz from the netherlands!

I enjoyed reading how/why you got into zentangles; and I'm glad you're still doing it. Your tile is quite lovely and organic. Love the tiny touch of color.

Thank you all for your lovely comments. Zentangles are truly zen. Easy to do when there is a creative block or you just need to escape for a while with a piece of paper.
