This week's challenge from the Diva was to use MOOKA as our subject.
I never tried Mooka before as I always thought it was out of my league. To put it plainly I avoided it.
After I tried several samples and looked at the video, I felt foolish; it was so easy. Today I sat in the doctors waiting room for over an hour, and filled a whole notebook page with MOOKA. The time seemed to go by very quickly.
I find shading is tricky, and that's something I will have to work on and get comfortable with.
In all it was a great challenge, and certainly a tangle I will have to try again.

So graceful and soft color, lovely looking.
Gee Kelly, it's hard to believe you are a "newbie" with Mooka. Your drawing flows beautifully, and I think you did a great job of shading it. Mooka is almost hypnotic isn't it, and so fun to draw!
What a gorgeous result of your first try! Yes, you should use it again and again!
I think you did a great job on mooka. The way you used colors is great. I like the outcome of it very much. Nice accent touch are the waterdrops coming out the mooka plant. Great.
Thanks for your comments all. Yes I was afraid of Mooka at one point. Now I will have to add it to my try again list. I realized it the power is in the movement of the wrist.
Your Mookas give me a feeling of spring! Lovely color combination!
Like Diana (Didisch) I was looking at the waterdrops and liked them a lot. Tour whole zia is beautiful.
Nice job. Looks like a tin decorative plate. Like the color.
Very beautiful Mooka! I really like this tile!
